The roots of the Houthavens and the surrounding water are expressed in the nautical styled building ‘Porcellis’ at the head of the area. This building sits on top of the largest parking garage of the Houthavens. The rooftop terrace offers spectacular views of the skyline of Amsterdam. The generous and representative double height main entrance to the Danzigerkade offers a view on the new ‘Houthaven’ and the centre of Amsterdam.Generous glass façades provide a 360 degree view and the building is accentuated by the detailing and materials, which are continued in the interior. The publicly accessible café is the central public function of the Houthavens and will be a meeting place.
